The Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna is currently under locks as renovation works commence ahead of the AFCON 2017 clash between Nigeria and Egypt.
“Yes we locked it because It’s currently undergoing re-grassing and minor renovation works are going on in the dressing rooms and other areas of the Stadium” An official told owngoalnigeria.com
“We sincerely apologise to anybody,groups or company using the stadium for their activities as henceforth no form of activity will be allowed until maybe after the game”
Egypt currently top Group G of the qualifying series, with the North Africans two points ahead of Nigeria after winning their first two games.
The game between Nigeria and Egypt will be on March 23 and the top of the table clash which will go a long way in deciding who gets the group automatic ticket.
Super Eagles of Nigeria are yet to lose or draw a game at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium but Egypt are motivated to qualify for the Africa cup of Nations after missing out on the last three editions.
