Swedish top league side Malmo are currently battling to secure the services of 19 year old Nigeria U-23 invitee Blessing Eleke but are facing stiff competition to sign the ND Gorica top marksman.
Gorica are 4th on the Slovenia log thanks to Eleke’s 12 goals in 19 games and his fine form has reportedly caught the eyes of Malmo who are on the lookout for a striker.
However Italian Serie A side Genoa and Austria’s Sturm Graz are also reportedly weighing up a bid for the striker who is valued at 800,000 Euros by Gorica.
The big fee involved appears to have kicked Sturm Graz out of the race to sign him but Malmo still need to fend off competition from Genoa to clinch the services of the second highest goal scorer in Slovenia this season.
Eleke joined ND Gorica last season and scored 3 goals from the 14 games he played but has grown in leap and bounds this season since clocking 19 year old and if not for his team holding him back would have featured for Nigeria at the U-23 championship at the Africa Olympic qualifiers tournament in Senegal.
