Chinedu Ede started 2016 on a bright note scoring twice in FC Twente 4-0 thrashing of Heracles as the Dutch Eredivisie resumes from the winter break.
The 28 year old who was born in Germany to Nigerian parents showed coach Rene Hake was right to hand him a start as he responded with a goal in each half.
His first came in the 16th minute and it was the game’s first goal before he scored the third for his side in the 60th minute to give Twente a 3-0 lead.
Despite his team scoring a fourth, He will be more than pleased to have gotten off the mark in 2016 in style and the brace were his first set of goals since joining Twente in the summer on a free from Mainz 05.
