Nigeria forward John Chubuike played a role in humbling Kenneth Omeruo and his Kasimpasa teammates in front of their fans by scoring as Gaziantepspor secured a dramatic 2-1 win.

The two Nigerians were on from start to finish with Omeruo’s Kasimpasa taking the lead in the 20th minute through Yonathan Del Valle but three minutes to the half time break Chibuike leveled for his team from the spot.

Omeruo picked up a yellow card on the stroke of halftime and his misery was compounded when Gaziantepspor scored a late winner in the final minute of the game.

The goal was Chibuike’s third in the league and the victory lifted his team to 10th on the table while Omeruo’s Kasimpasa stay 4th despite the loss.

23 year old Kenneth Omeruo is a full time Nigeria international while 27 year old John Chibuike is yet to be capped by Nigeria at any level.
