Shola Amoebi is currently in the hunt for a new team after Bolton Wanderers confirmed his short term deal which ran out on Saturday won’t be renewed.
34 year old Amoebi joined the Championship strugglers on a short term deal in October scoring once from the eight appearances he has made for the Trotters but still wasn’t good enough for him to be offered fresh terms.
“He’s obviously on a short term contract which runs out on Saturday and we’re not in a position to renew anybody’s contract so this will be his last week at the club” Bolton manager Steve Walford confirmed.
However he might get to play for Bolton one last time when they take on Eastleigh as confirmed by Walford.
“He’s doing fine in training and he’s ready to play (against Eastleigh) if needs be.
“You’d like to keep someone of his experience around the football club but we’re not in a position to do that. It’s a shame but I’m sure he’ll get fixed up somewhere else”.
Bolton are presently in debts of £172.9m and have been given a deadline of February
