Norway’s top flight team Viking are currently at cross roads regarding the future of their talented 19 year old Nigerian forward Suleiman Abdullahi who is wanted by St. Pauli of Germany.
Sources close to the deal revealed the German team who are eyeing promotion to the Bundesliga are willing to pay double digit transfer fee for the Nigerian,a situation which is gradually forcing Viking into a having a rethink about their earlier stand on the player.
However Viking are thinking if he adds to his last season’s tally of 8 goals in 27 games this season then his market value will further rise which means they will sell far higher than if they sell him now.
At the same time considering how much they have invested in him since his move six months ago,if they are to sell him now they will recoup four times the amount they have invested in him regarding salaries, wages and transfer fee.
The type of money Viking are hoping to make from him in the future can only be possible if he makes a move to an English Premiership team but at the main time he is not eligible to play in England due to work permit issues.
St.Pauli are patiently waiting for Viking who are expected to make a decision before the end of this January transfer window which closes on the 31st.
