Owngoalnigeria.com can authoritatively revealed that Abia Warriors striker Chisom Chikatara has concluded his move to Wydad Casablanca of Morocco on a three year deal.
Chikatara scored 12 goals last season in the Nigeria Premier league but caught the eyes of Casablanca rivals Wydad and Raja but Wydad won his signature ahead of their rival.
The Moroccans saw off interest from other interested party as we’ll to tie the 22 year old on a contract with a buy out clause of £1m although details of his earnings and the fee paid for his transfer were not released to owngoalnigeria.com.
“Yes we agreed a three year deal which will start in the summer, He (Chikatara) is delighted over the deal because it has financial benefits to him aside of the impact it will have on his career” a source told owngoalnigeria.com.
“Wydad inserted a £1m buy out clause in the deal but am sorry I can’t tell you guys the worth of his transfer or how much he will earn but it’s very huge” He concluded.
Chikatara now joins the likes of Tony Edjomariegwe,Babatunde Michael and Osaghuona Ighodaro in moving to Morocco where the league is currently on break
