According to the father of Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dominic Iorfa English premier league side West Ham failed with a £4m for his son in this January transfer window.
Speaking to owngoalnigeria.com Dominic Iorfa snr said 20 year old Iorfa would have been playing for West Ham were it not for the asking price of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“My son was a subject of a £4m bid from West Ham but Wolves are holding out for more which you can’t fault them as he is still very young and his market value will go higher if he continue to progress well at the Molineux” He told owngoalnigeria.com.
The former Nigeria international also debunked insinuations that he manages his son career by saying he is managed by a sports group.
“Have read that in some local and foreign media but that’s not true as he is safely in the hands of a very reputable sport group, some very nice set of guys with proper setup am just his father, nothing more” He said
Iorfa has been a revelation since breaking into the Wolves team in 2014 with 25 appearances to his name already this season playing from either the right full back role or central defense.
