Former Nigeria U-23 captain Isacc Promise has left bottom of the table Turkish Super League side Mersin Idmanyurdu to team up with Karabukspor.

Success returned back to Turkey last year after a year in Saudi Arabia and Karabukspor who were demoted to the second tier in Turkey last season will be his seventh team in Turkey.

He captained Nigeria’s U-20 in 2005 and 23 in 2008 winning a silver medal at the World Youth Championship and Olympics respectively but the 28 year old has only one cap for the senior national team.

In the past he has turned out for teams in Turkey like Genclerbirligi,Trabzonspor,Manisaspor,Antalyaspor,Balikesirspor and Mersin with his most productive spell in front of goal coming in the 2011/2012 season where he scored 11 times for Manisaspor.

His worst season was the 2008/2009 season when he scored just twice from 26 games for same team that he spent four seasons with before relegation made him dump them for Antalyaspor.
