Former U-17 golden boot winner Macauley Chrisantus who went to Germany to start his professional career just like Victor Osimhen is about to do has warned the 2015 U-17 top scorer to be ready to work extra hard.

Osimhen move to Wolfsburg of Germany was yesterday officially announced by the team he joined ahead of other suitors because he was promised game time and Chrisantus who was promised same in 2007 at Hamburg but never got it is however optimistic that Osimhen case will be different as time has changed.

Speaking to Chrisantus while congratulating Osimhen on his successful transfer to Wolfsburg he urged the 17 year old to put in extra work and not let the same vice which claimed his career progression in Germany hunt him.

“Things have changed from when i went to Germany in 2007 and now as teams now believe in young players especially after their feat with players under-23 at the 2010 World cup but still i urged him (Osimhen) to bulk up to the challenge” He told

“So many factors hindered my progression at Hamburg, too many coaches and when am close to breaking into the team there’s always a new coach meaning i was always battling to impress year in year out, I pray that doesn’t happen to him, He’s a really talented kid”.
