FIFA have cleared Godspower Aniefiok to start playing games for Etoile du Sahel despite claims by Kano Pillars that the Tunisians are yet to pay for his transfer.
The club announced on their official website that the Nigeria U-23 player has been granted clearance and is now eligible to play first team games for them.
Aniefiok stayed behind in Tunisia even when owngoalnigeria.com reported the deal is off due to Etoile hesitation in paying the agreed transfer fee to Kano Pillars who own his economic rights.
Details of how and what lead to FIFA granting him clearance were still sketchy as at the time we filed in this report but we are closely monitoring the issue and in no distant time we will report it with clarity.
In the maintime Godspower Aniefiok might make his debut tomorrow for Etoile du Sahel in a state league game against Hammamet.
