El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri central defender Chidozie Awaziem has earned a permanent deal at Portuguese giants FC Porto after posting impressive performance in the first half of his loan deal.
19 year old Awaziem joined FC Porto on loan till the end of the season but his superb form for the B side which earned him a first team debut against Feirense where he was voted man of the match has left Porto with no choice than to make his deal permanent.
Awaziem has so far played all of the game for the B team in the second division scoring once and earning himself the reputation of a hard tackler in defence.
However while his major drawback still remains the rate at which he picks up cards O Jogo a Portuguese based newspaper are speculating his loan move will be made permanent in a few days time.
He might even make his debut for the first team in their League game away at Estoril today, a sign of how fast he has grown after just six months.
