Nigeria youth international Musa Yahaya will have to wait a little bit longer for his debut with his loan side Portimonense as his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is yet to be released.
Yahaya has so far played only one game for Portimonense and that was a friendly game against Wolfsburg as the lack of issuance of his ITC has restricted him to just training with the Portuguese second division team.
Owngoalnigeria.com spoke with his agent Babawao Mohammed who revealed Yahaya’s ITC will most likely arrive Portugal on Monday but too late for him to make his debut against Mafra on Sunday.
“His ITC is yet to arrive Portugal but worst case scenario on Monday all the neccessary paperworks would have been sorted out, it’s just because it’s weekend” He told Owngoalnigeria.com
The 18 year old joined Portimonense on loan from English giants Tottenham Hotspurs but while he is yet to get his professional career off the ground another Nigerian is making hay at the team.
Fidelish Irhene has been a revelation for the team scoring in their 3-2 win over Pacos Feireira which earns them a spot in the semi finals of the League cup for the first time in their history.
