FK Haugesund have announced the signing of Nigeria duo of 19 year old Nigerian forward Ibrahim Shuaibu and 18 year old defender Anthony Izuchukwu plucked from the famous Goldent Boot Soccer Academy (GBS) of Jos.
Both players was spotted by the club directors, Jostein Grindhaug and Kolbjorn Fosen who were in Nigeria during the Christmas festivities and were invited to Norway for trials which they excelled in.
Shuaibu played in a friendly game against Stord in Spain where he showed his dribbling abilities aside scoring a hattrick and an assist from the game while Izuchukwu excelled in defence.
They joined on an undisclosed fee but general manager of the team made it clear they didn’t sign on a free transfer.
The duo were signed on to a three year deal by the team who presently have Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong in their fold.
