Nigeria youth international Musa Yahaya has finally receive the green light to start his professional career with Portimonense of Portugal following the conclusion of the necessary paper work that validate his transfer.
Yahaya joined Portimonense three weeks ago on loan from Tottenham Hotspur but the non issuance of his International Transfer Certificate made it impossible for him to play for the team but according to his agent, It was sent yesterday and the club have acknowledged it.
“It was sent yesterday and Portimonense are now free to play him as all the necessary paper works have been concluded ” Babawo Mohammed told owngoalnigeria.com.
Tottenham Hotspur snapped up Musa Yahaya after the 2013 U-17 World Cup in the UAE where Nigeria won gold with the 18 year old playing a pivotal role in the team’s success but work permit rules means he is out on a six month loan as he isn’t eligible for one yet.
He might get his debut on Saturday against Sporting Lisbon B in the segunda divison in Portugal where Portimonense are currently 6th on the log standing.
