Ikechuckwu Uche who secured a deadline day loan move from Tigres of Mexico to Spanish La-Ligament side Malaga will wear same jersey number he wore for Villareal before leaving for Mexico six months ago.
Uche will dorn his favourite jersey number 8 same number he wore at Villareal when he had his most prolific season in the la liga scoring 14 times in the 2013/2014 season for the Yellow Submarines.
He will be hoping the number bring him better success at Malaga where they have high hopes he will once again enhance his reputation as a top and feared striker in the division.
Speaking at his presentation he echoed same sentiment of hoping to score goals for Malaga although he pointed out the team success comes first.
“I am proud and happy to be here, wanting to work and show what I have inside to contribute much to the team. I will work every day to get the team to win, being available to the coach can count on you to help the team. ” He told the club official website.
“Every day that goes by I’m learning things and knowing more Laliga. I have long been here and I think I’ve improved in every way. I learned a lot on how Laliga. I am a striker who does what the coach asks. I will try to do the job to benefit the team, helping scoring goals better, and I will work for that to happen. ”
