Ahmed Musa proved how invaluable he is to CSKA Moscow scoring and assisting another goal as they claim a 4-1 friendly win over Vaalerenga.
Musa who saw two bids for him from English Premier League surprise team Leicester City rejected by the Russians showed why they hanged on to him insisting on his full buyout clause when he assisted Alexander Golovin for CSKA second goal before scoring their third goal.
He showed he is ready to carry the team goal burden following the departure of Seydou Doumbia to Newcastle United as they hope to maintain top spot in the Russia Premier League.
23 year old Musa who presently captains the Nigeria senior national team has 10 goals in all competitions this season with six coming in the league and four in the UEFA champions league.
Although he didn’t push for an exit from CSKA Moscow when Leicester City pushed to sign him it is however expected that after five seasons in Russia he will be open to a move away in the summer.
