Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe yesterday turned down a big money move to Angola with his sights firmly fixed on a move to Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) of Finland.

Egwuekwe is currently waiting to be issued a visa to travel to Finland to complete his transfer to KuPS and Premiro do Agosto of Angola almost took advantage of the delay by tendering him an offer reportedly worth ten times what he will earn in Finland.

Premiro do Agosto offered to pay the 26 year old a sign on fee of $200,000 plus a net salary of $15,000 per annum but he rejected it and miss out on a chance to team up with fellow Nigerian Ibukun Akinfenwa at the Angola top division team.

He is now expected to join KuPS alongside his teammate at Warri Wolves Gbolahan Salami, the last season top scorer in the Nigeria Premier League who although denied talks have been concluded with the Finnish side might as well end up joining them.
