Ikechukwu Uche won’t make his debut for Malaga tonight against his old team Getafe after failing to make the match day squad for the game.

Uche joined Malaga on January transfer deadline day from Tigres of Mexico but unlike fellow new signings Cifu and Ricca who were included in manager Javi Garcia squad for the game against Getafe he wasn’t included but the manager spoke extensively about his qualities and why they decided to bring him.

“We know that during these months of January and February is the time when we see a higher percentage of injuries. Ike’s qualities are the guarantee that he knows LaLiga, having played with other teams here, and I think he can help us and will adapt well to our style of play. He can bring speed, goals, do a good job and has a lot of experience.”He said in his pre match conference

32 year old Uche played 55 times for Getafe from 2007-2009 scoring 11 times for them in the La-Liga before moving to Real Zaragoza.
