Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that on loan Tottenham Hotspur teenager Musa Yahaya will today make his professional and competitive debut for Portuguese second division team Portimonense when they take on the B team of Sporting Lisbon in a league game at the Estadio do Portimonense SC.
Yahaya joined the team three weeks ago but aside featuring in a friendly game against Wolfsburg he was unable to play in competitive games for the team as his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) was yet to be released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
However as exclusively revealed by owngoalnigeria.com he received his ITC and is now cleared to begin his professional career starting from today’s game against Sporting Lisbon.
“Yahaya is in the squad today, he will play all things been equal he has trained very well during the week and it will be his outmost joy to finally make his professional debut as a footballer” a source close to the teenager told owngoalnigeria.com
Portimonense are placed 6th on the log table in the Portuguese second division and presently have two Nigerians in their fold in Musa Yahaya and Fidelis Irhene who has so far made 16 appearances with a goal to show from his defensive midfield role.
