Nigeria youth international Mustapha Abdullahi is inches away from securing a professional deal with Polish side Legia Warsaw after posting a man of the match performance for the reserve team in their 4-2 victory over Lech Poznan reserves.
The game which owngoalnigeria.com gathered will go a long way in determining if he is to be offered a contract or not saw the 20 year old Nigerian on from the start alongside fellow trialist Dominik Bottcher but while Abdullahi lasted the entire duration of the game Bottcher was replaced in the second half.
Sources close to the team camp who watched the game told owngoalnigeria.com that Abdullahi was by far the best player on the pitch for Legia Warsaw as he played without complex. Covered almost every blade of the pitch required of him and wasn’t afraid to join the attack especially in the first half.
It’s yet to be seen if his fine performance will convince the Legia Warsaw hierarchy to give him a deal but whatever happens the Nigerian can be proud of his performance in his last trail game.
