Six days after joining Albania top side Skenderbeu Korce, James Adeniyi scored on his debut to help them claim a 3-1 win over Kukesi in the Albania Superliga.

Adeniyi a January deadline day signing from from Laci in the same league extended his team advantage in the 45th minute scoring to put them 2-0 up, taking his season tally to 10 goals from 18 games.

He has so far scored six times in his last 8 games in the league further proving why Skenderbreu brought him in to help them maintain their top of the table status as they are presently two points clear of fellow title contenders Partizani Tirana.

Brought in as a replacement for fellow Nigerian Peter Olayinka who was sold to Gent of Belgium he is presently the second highest goal scorer in the league six goals behind his teammate Hamdi Salihi.

The 23 year old Nigeria is in his 7th season in Albania spending time with Bylis Ballsh,Tomori Perat and Laci with his best ever scoring season coming in the 2014/2015 season when he scored 11 times for Laci in the league.
