JOEL OBI PLAYS FIRST GAME IN FIVE MONTHS FOR TORINO

Super Eagles out of favour midfielder Joel Obi returned back to competitive action for Italian Serie A side Torino featuring for 57 minute in their 1-2 home loss to Chievo Verona.

Obi last played for Torino on the 27th of September last year against Palermo a game they won 2-1 but he got sent off in the 89th minute after coming on as a 68th minute substitute.

He later got injured after serving out his suspension but marked his return from injury last week although he stayed on the bench for the entire duration of the game against Sampdoria.

24 year old Obi spent seven years at Inter Milan but injuries restricted him to few appearances for the team before he eventually moved to Torino in the summer where he has so far made 3 appearances from a possible 23 games.
