AC Milan forward Nnamdi Oduamadi who turned down a move to Italy’s Lega Pro side Catania might join Grasshoppers of Switzerland before the Swiss transfer window closes on the 15th of February.
Oduamadi refused to join third division team Catania despite the team securing a loan agreement for the 25 year old forward as the Nigerian believed he deserves a better team than the third division strugglers.
Catania and Grasshoppers were initially the two teams chasing his signature after he cancelled his loan deal with Turkish side Sanliufaspor over unpaid wages but Catania appears to be the team that presented a deal that meets AC Milan valuation of the man who has 13 caps for the Nigeria senior national team.
However the player appears keen on a level higher than the Italian third division and with 18 months left on his contract with the Milan giants a loan deal to Grasshopers of Switzerland appears his best bet for now but only if they can reach an agreement with AC Milan.
He has in the past have loan spells with 6different teams namely Torino,Varese,Brescia,Crotone,Latina and Sanliufaspor with varying degree of success although his loan time at Varese still remain his most productive so far as he scored four times from the 12 games he played for them in the second half of the 2013/2014 season.
