SADIQ UMAR ON TARGET AS ROMA THRASH RED BULL SALZBURG IN UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE

Sadiq Umar scored his fifth goal in the UEFA youth league scoring Roma’s third in their 4-0 thrashing of Red Bull Salzburg to progress to the round of 16 of the competition.

Umar who was a late inclusion in the Roma side was a thorn in the flesh of the defence of Red Bull Salzburg capping his fine display with his side third goal as they race into a 3-0 first half lead.

The recently turned 19 year old have already scored twice for the main team and showed why he is so highly rated by the Giallorossi although he has found game hard to come by after the departure of Rudi Garcia as his replacement Luciano Spalleti prefers January acquisition Stephan El Sharawwy to the Nigerian.

He wasn’t the only Nigerian on show as his counterpart at AS Roma Nura Abdullahi marked his return to competitive action from a minor heart ailment playing the entire duration of their game although he made the bench for the main team in their last league game against Sassuolo.
