HNK Rijeka forward Theophilus Solomon who is presently out on loan to NK Sibenik says winning the top scorer award in the Croatia second division is his aim ahead of the start of the second stanza of the league.
“It’s only normal i focus on the award as a striker who loves to help his team win and win big but at the same time am ready to sacrifice my personal ambition to lead my team to promotion” He told owngoalnigeria.com.
Presently second on the top scorers chart with nine goals three goals behind leading scoring Ivan Prskalo of Radnik Sesvete, Solomon whose team NK Sibenik are presently leading the second division table and well in line to gain promotion to the top division is in the final year of his contract but insist his future is not his concern for now.
“I have those who handle that part of my career am fully focused on my team and game, i will do my best and let the rest take care of itself’.
Although a return to NK Rijeka looks more on the card as they have a two year extension embedded in his contract after the expiration of his present deal the 20 year old forward isn’t keen on staying in Croatia following interest from teams in Belgium,Turkey,Portugal,Italy and Slovenia.
