Vipers of Uganda are confident of their chances against Nigeria Premier League Champions Enyimba when both team clash at the Nakivubo Stadium on Friday in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary game.

Viper’s attacker Mike Mutyaba who is highly experienced after campaigning with Sudan’s El Merreikh and DR Congo’s giants TP Mazembe in the CAF Champions League is confident that Enyimba’s poor showing in recent preliminary games of the tournament will put the two time winners under pressure to impress which might work in their favour.

“Hopefully that (early elimination) puts them under pressure to deliver which could play in our favour, and as the coaches have encouraged us during the week, we shall not compromise our style” Mutyaba said after the team’s training session at Nakivubo stadium on Tuesday.

The Ugandans are making their debut in the CAF elite competition and recently appointed a new coach George “Best” Nsimbe who has experience in the tournament after handling KCCA in 2013, the year they were eliminated by Zambia’s Nkana.
