The world champions at U-17 level the Golden Eaglet of Nigeria will begin their quest to qualify for the Africa edition of the tourney in August.

Nigeria will face Niger, the last edition host in the second round of qualifiers after drawing bye in the first round of the qualifiers for Madagascar 2017.

Their third round opponents will only be known from the winner of the first round tie between Algeria and Libya who will also have to face Gabon before Nigeria if the Eaglet scale through Niger Republic.

A place in Madagascar where the Africa tourney will he held awaits the team who are able to scale through the round of games and the top four team from the tournament will represent Africa at the global edition.
