After seeing Nigeria import Samuel Adegbenro fire a brace in Viking 4-2 win over Bryne in a pre season friendly, manager of Viking admit they can’t hang onto the Nigerian for long.

“Everyone talks about Suleiman Abdullahi as the most marketable but Adegbenro was good all through last season, on my part they can continue the talking but my aim will be to quell talks of his exit” Manager Kjell Jonevret said.

The manager rounded up by jokingly saying he might have to build a fence around the 20 year old to ward off potential suitors in their next friendly game.

On his part Adegbenro who scored 5 goals in the league last season insist while he wants to work on his defending abilities he is also focused on adding more goals to his game and he practiced it a lot while on holidays in Nigeria.

This season he will be in the company of three other Nigerians at the team as he will have his last season compatriot Suleiman Abdullahi as well as latest signings Usman Sale and Aniekpeno Udoh at the team that finished 5th in Norway last season.
