IHEANACHO: “I THOUGHT THE GOAL I SCORED WOULD MOTIVATE MY TEAM”

Kelechi Iheanacho have finally broken his silence over his goal that have caused a whole lot of controversy in Manchester City 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur after his teammates refused to celebrate with him when he brought scores to 1-1.

Iheanacho whose mood was totally deflated after the game made his views known about his goal while reflecting on their loss.

“We really tried hard and unfortunately we lost the game, we will put it behind us and keep going” He said in his post match reaction.

“I thought the goal i scored would motivate my team to keep going and get another goal and win the game but unfortunately it didn’t and we lost”.

However while he appears not keen on talking about his teammates not celebrating his strike that didn’t stop people from commenting on the issue with Sky Sports pundit Thierry Henry terming his teammates reactions as weird after the youngster’s goal.
