Coach of Akwa United Maurice Cooreman is confident his team can win six trophies this season after they lifted their third trophy in three months with a 5-4 penalty shoot out victory over Enyimba in the Nigeria Super Cup.

Already the current holders of the Nigeria Federations cup have won the Super four championship meant for Nigeria teams participating in Africa club competitions and their recent Super Cup victory made it three trophies in three months.

The Uyo based side are already close to progressing to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup after beating Vita Mokoanda of Congo 1-0 away from home with the second leg scheduled to be played in their home ground in Akwa Ibom state.

74 year old Cooreman is of the opinion that they can clinch all three trophies they are set to compete in this season which includes the CAF Confederations Cup,Nigeria Premier League and Nigeria Federations cup.

“We have three trophies in three months, two under me in two months and who say we can’t win the remaining three tournaments we are currently involved in” He asked owngoalnigerian.com during an interview.

“I have told my players to believe in themselves and if they do we can win the CAF Confederations Cup,Nigeria Professional Football League as well as successfully defend our Federation cup trophy”.
