West Ham United January acquisition Emmanuel Emenike will get his first start for West Ham when they take on Leeds United this weekend in the English FA Cup.
Injuries to Andy Carrol,Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia coupled with the departure of Nikica Jelavic to China have thrown up a sure possibility for the Nigerian to have his first start for the Hammers.
Emenike is the only fit striker West Ham have at the moment as Manuel Lanzini only recently returned to training with the squad since going off injured in their game against Liverpool on January 2.
Since Joining West Ham Emenike have so far made two appearance in the Premier League both as substitute in games against Southampton and Norwich City raking up 37 minutes.
The game against Leeds United will be his first in the FA cup as he wasn’t eligible for their replay tie against Liverpool which they won 2-1 after extra time.
