Paul Onobi dream of linking up with his fellow Nigerians at KuPS, Gbolahan Salami and Azubuike Egwuekwe will only be possible if he scales two hurdles set before him by the management team despite the team announcing his capture.
23 year old Onobi penned a one and half year deal with Finnish side Kuopio Palloseura Veikkausliiga (KuPS) but it will come into effect if the Super Eagles midfielder impress the team during a short trial.
Aside the short trial the Sunshine Stars of Akure midfielder will still be required to undergo a mandatory medical check up which will go a long way to helping his deal with the team.
Onobi who has two full senior cap for Nigeria had a below par performance for Nigeria at the just concluded CHAN championship a situation which might have scared away potential suitors.
He reportedly snubbed a move to Esperance of Tunisia at the early stage of the CHAN championship hoping to earn a bigger move after the tournament which Nigeria exited at the group stage.
