Moses Simon who returned to the Gent line up against Wolfsburg in the UEFA Champions League two days after going off injured in a league game has suffered a setback.
Simon went off inured in Gent’s League game against Mouscron Peruwelz with a suspected groin trouble but returned few days later lasting over an hour for Gent in their 2-3 loss to Wolfsburg in the Champions League.
His substitution in the game against Wolfsburg we gathered was partly due to discomfort he felt within his hip region and same injury kept him out of their weekend 2-5 loss to KV Oostende.
The news of his injury setback will come as an unpleasant news to the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Sunday Oliseh ahead of Nigeria’s double header AFCON 2017 qualifier game against Egypt.
Owngoalnigeria.com can’t quite ascertain how long the 20 year old will be out injured but his injury battles this season have been a case of concern as he has been restricted to just 21 league games with just two goals to his name.
