18 year old Charlton Athletics forward Ademola Lookman who is presently being chased by Arsenal and a host of other top flight team in England has signed a new deal with the Addicks.
His new deal is set to run till 2020 and he said he extended his deal to pay the club back for everything they have done for him.
“It’s a great feeling to have signed” Lookman Said.
“This club is very important to me and I’m very grateful for the chance Charlton have given me.
“I wanted to repay my debt because I owe something to the club. Giving myself until 2020 is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now. I’m pleased it’s finally done”.
However they are still reports he might yet move in the summer as Charlton only extended his deal to strengthen their bargaining power in the summer.
So far Lookman has scored 4 times in 13 games this season not mentioning the stunner he scored for the U-21 against Brentford which has lead to his nomination for the London Young Player Of The Year award.
He is up for the award against the likes of Tottenham Hotspurs duo of Dele Alli and Eric Dier while Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and and Fulham Moussa Dembele complete the contestants for the award.
