Nigeria youth international Zahradeen Bello is yet to begin trials with Portuguese side Boavista due to delays in issuing him a visa by the Portuguese embassy in Nigeria.
Bello who currently plays for Kano Pillars was supposed to have started trials with Boavista since two weeks ago but the Portuguese embassy in Nigeria are presently playing hard ball about issuing him a visa.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered the delay in issuing him a visa is connected to the fact that he was once denied entry visa into Portugal as a minor when he was suppose to undergo trial with Portimonense.
The 18 year old had a whirlwind year playing for Nigeria U-20 and U-23 helping them win their respective Africa tournaments and also played at the U-20 World Youth Championship in New Zealand.
He is expected to be listed for Nigeria U-23 in their friendly game against Brazil on the 24th of March.
