Serie B side Vicenza have pulled a major transfer coup by snatching Aberdeen trailist Daniel Adejo to strengthen their defence line currently ravaged by injuries.
As a free agent the Nigerian is free to join any club despite the closure of the winter transfer window and after joining Scottish side Aberdeen on trial a week ago he is now poised to join Vicenza.
17th placed Vicenza are battling to remain in the Serie B and injuries to centre back Thomas Manfredini is out for the season due to a ruptured achilles tendon while Nicolo Brighenti and Lorenzo Laverone are also out injured.
Adejo was sounded out and after talks the 26 year old opted against continuing talks with Aberdeen of Scotland to return to Italy where he started his professional career.
The Ex Nigeria youth international spent 6 seasons in Italy with Reggiana playing a season with them in the Serie A and the rest six in the Serie B same league he is returning to three years after he left for Kalloni of Greece.
He sign on a short term deal which will run out on the 30th of June 2016.
