Nigeria youth international Mustapha Abdullahi has taken a swipe at football agents parading themselves as his agent in the process using his name to dupe other players.
In an explosive chat with owngoalnigeria.com, the 20 year old who recently failed to secure a deal with Arminia Bielefeld in Germany and later Legia Warsaw of Poland said he only has one agency he is working with.
“I have never done this before but this is becoming unbearable, I only have one agency am working with and that is Cosmos Sports Agency in Germany” He said.
“I don’t work with any agent in Nigeria but have been receiving messages from footballers telling me my agent wants to take them to Europe, which is a lie, my name is just being used to dupe them.
He went a step further by advising footballers to know that the concept of licensed FIFA agents has been abolished that anybody can represent them in their football careers.
Furthermore he called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to put an eye on these sort of agents who are only soiling the reputation of the nation and the football body abroad especially with claims of having contact with the NFF.
