Super Eagles forward Anthony Ujah ended his six match Bundesliga goal drought by scoring his side first goal in their 2-2 draw with newly promoted Darmstadt 98.
The 25 year old last found the back on the 24th of January 2016 and after firing blanks in five consecutive league games he finally got back among the goals scoring his side opener in the 33rd minute.
However they were pegged back to 2-1 by their visitors before a late equaliser from Claudio Pizzaro saved their blushes and secured them a point.
Werder Bremen despite rescuing a point are still hovering the relegation zone in the Bundesliga as they are presently 16th on the 18 team table but for the Nigerian Ujah the goal was his 10th league goal of the season.
Already he has equaled his last season tally of 10 league goals for FC Cologne with almost 10 games to go, a form which might earn him a spot in Nigeria’s team for the all important AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Egypt.
