One of the names on the list of players invited for Nigeria U-23 friendly game against Brazil on March 24th has switched teams.

Nathan Oduwa who returned back to Tottenham Hotspurs after spending the first half of the season on loan at Scottish side Rangers joined English league one side Colchester United on a month loan.

He has represented England at U-20 level but the speedy forward who is full of tricks on the flanks where he loves to operate from the left has been called up for the second time to be a part of the Nigeria U-23 team.

It appears he is ready to switch his international allegiance to Nigeria going by his recent invitation after his club stopped him from honouring the first invitation sent to him to be a part of Nigeria’s team to the U-23 AFCON.

His loan signing was announced on the club’s official website few days after rumors starting circulating about their interest in the 19 year old who has been at Spurs since age 11.

Oduwa will go straight into Colchester’s squad for their weekend game and will wear jersey number 30 to help them achieve their goal for this season.
