Godwin Obaje who scored a brace for Wikki Tourist in their 3-0 bashing of Plateau United says he wasn’t all that satisfied with his brace as he wanted a hattrick.
” There’s a bit of Oliver Twist in all of us, I had my moments yesterday, I wanted the match ball and only a hattrick would have given me that, am not all that happy but have learnt to give God thanks in all situations” He told owngoalnigeria.com.
Already he has three goals from his first four games in the league this season and he maintains his target still remains winning the top scorer award in the league.
“It’s a target I have set for myself but my team comes first ahead of my personal goal of wanting to be top scorer but still I have my sights on it”.
On rumours about a return to Europe after his failed move to AS Trencin which collapsed due to disagreements over fee, the 19 year old said he is not in a hurry to leave Wikki Tourist.
“Am not in a hurry to leave Wikki Tourist and if am to go to Europe it must be for a deal am sure about, my experience in Slovakia with AS Trencin has taught me a lesson”.
