Super Eagles forward Moses Simon failed to end his goal drought yesterday for champions Gent who were held 1-1 by OH Leuven in a Belgium top flight game.

Simon who is among the players invited by Super Eagles interim coach Samson Siasia for the AFCON 2017 double header against Egypt last scored a goal three months ago.

His last goal came on the 20th of December 2015 against Kortrijk and since then he has failed to score in the 10 games he has played leaving his season goals tally at just two.

The 20 year old is still waiting for his first goal of 2016 and this season happens to be his worst since moving to Europe three seasons ago in terms of goalscoring.

However while his goal scoring form for Gent is a concern he has within that same period of time scored twice in his last three games for Nigeria.

He found the back of the net against Cameroun in a friendly game before scoring his first competitive goal for Nigeria against Swaziland.
