Caretaker coach of the Super Eagles Samson Siasia will be delighted about the form of one of the players called up ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Egypt.

Yet to be capped Aminu Umar scored a match winning brace for his Turkish side Osmanlispor in a five goals thriller that ended in a 2-3 win against Istanbul Basaksehir.

The former Nigeria U-20 forward scored his brace in spectacular fashion in the 20th and 38th minute and he could easily have gone home with the match ball if not for some smart goalkepping from Volcan Babacan.

His brace alongside a late strike from Pape Ndiaye was good enough to earn his side all three points and move them up to 8th position on the 18 team Turkish Super Liga table.

Umar wasn’t the only Nigerian on parade for Osmanlispor but while he lasted the entire duration of the game his Nigerian colleague at same club was withdrawn after 63 minuted.
