Erstwhile coach of the Super Eagles Sunday Oliseh accused the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) of trying to impose players on him an allegation denied by the NFF.

However Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal the names of the players some technical committee members of the NFF tried to impose on the coach.

“At a point in time during the early days of Oliseh’s coaching of the Super Eagles are you aware some people wanted Azubuike Egwuekwe and Ogenekaro Etebo in the team but Oliseh stood his ground and that was the genesis of the whole issue.

“However the first major incident was when Vincent Enyeama was sent off from camp they tried to arm twist him into re admitting him in camp but he stood his ground” An inside source told Owngoalnigeria.com

“After that when the home based Eagles were in camp some forces in the NFF wanted him to include Gbolahan Salami in his team at all cost during an AFCON qualifiers game after he dropped him but then they wanted the world to believe his passport was with some embassy”

“Salami was actually dropped as his attitude wasn’t just right in training and that didn’t go down well with some personnel of the NFF”.

He continued by saying while the erstwhile technical comamittee chairman Felix Anyasi Agwu was willing to accept the coach’s decision regarding players, Chris Green wasn’t having none of it.

“Chris Green wanted this player, that player and one of the bone of contention was he wanted the inclusion of players he wanted the coach to believe are players of powerful people in the NFF”

“Green also told Oliseh he has to give them slot to put their own players in the team, although he didn’t mention their names I can tell you he wanted some players of the U-23 to be in the team.
