Super Eagles forward Gbolahan Salami arrived Finland yesterday to resume with top division side Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS).

24 year old signed for the Finnish side alongside two other Nigerians Azubuike Egwuekwe and Paul Onobi and was handed shirt number 39 which was proudly displayed on the club’s webiste.

He had his first session with the team today and subsequently sent his warm regards to the fans of the team in a message captured on their website as well.

Salami was top scorer in the Nigeria Premier League last season while at Warri Wolves and has severally failed in his bid to take his stock abroad before finally landing at KuPS.

Strong,fast and skillful he is expected to help KuPS challenge for honours this season in the league after their 9th placed finish last season.

KuPS will play their first game on Friday against MP but it might come too soon for their new signings from Nigeria although Egwuekwe might make his debut for the team.
