Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe is poised to make his debut for Finnish side Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) after getting the all important International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the Nigeria Football Federation.
The club announced the news on their website emphatically stating that the ex Warri Wolves man is now cleared to play in competitive games for the team.
Egwuekwe will most likely make his debut against MP today in a cup game as he has been training with the team the last two weeks.
He is One among the three Nigerians officially on the club’s book, the others being last season top scorer in the Nigeria Premier League Gbolahan Salami and Super Eagles B team midfielder Paul Anobi.
Like Salami he left CAF Champions League campaigners Warri Wolves to pursue a career abroad after falling out of favour internationally since the axing of coach Stephen Keshi who gave him all his 14 caps in the Super Eagles.
