EVERTON 0-2 ARSENAL: IWOBI VOTED BARCLAYS MAN OF THE MATCH

Nigeria international Alex Iwobi was voted the Barclays man of the match after scoring his first competitive goal for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Everton.

Iwobi put Arsenal two goals ahead three minutes to the half time break after Danny Welbeck has given them the lead

19 year old Iwobi making his first start for Arsenal in the Premier league was spotted by a ball over the top from Hector Bellerin and he raced onto to it holding off defender Funes Mori before slotting home between the legs of Joe Robles in goal for Everton.

Beside scoring he was neat in possession and caused Everton all sort of troubles with his passes, neat dribbles and direct running and won four tackles same as Francis Coquelin to emerge as their team’s best ball winner in the game.

He was presented with the award shortly after the game putting him in fine form ahead of his trip to Nigeria where he is expected to play for Nigeria in the AFCON 2017 qualifiers game against Egypt.
