Fanendo Adi has set history as the Portland Timbers striker with the most amount of brace in the club’s history following his brace against Real Salt Lake that earned them a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
Adi’s brace achieved in four minutes was his 10th since joining Portland Timbers in 2014 which gives him one more than McKinley Tennyson who previously held the record with nine brace.
Tennyson achived his feat in the 2002-2003 season when Portland Timbers were still in the USL First Divsion unlike Adi who broke his record by scoring in the United State of America top league called Major League Soccer.
He has so far scored 27 goals in 63 games for Portland Timbers a remarkable feat for the 25 year old who prior to joining Portland Timbers scored just 15 goals in five and half season in Europe.
The highest amount of goals he ever scored in Europe where he turned out for Metalurh Donestk,Dynamo kiev and Tavriya in Ukraine,AS Trencin of Slovakia and FC Copenhagen of Denmark was 7 and he achieved that in the colours of AS Trencin in the 2013/2014 season.
