IWOBI FIRST EAGLE IN CAMP

Fresh from scoring his first career goal for Arsenal, Alex Iwobi this evening arrived the camp of the Super Eagles ahead of the all important double tie against Egypt in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

Iwobi’s arrival will be followed later today by the arrival of Aminu Umar and Godfrey Obaboana as both players are expected in tonight from their base in Turkey.

Training will however commence tomorrow evening when the technical crew will have at least a sizeable amount of players in camp with most invited foreign based professional expected to arrive tomorrow morning.

They will team up with the six local based players picked by interim manager Samson Siasia after two weeks of camping and they will now move to Kaduna venue of the game on Tuesday evening.

Egypt currently lead group G after picking up maximum points from their first two games of the qualifying series two more than Nigeria who are two points behind the Pharaohs of Egypt.
