Head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Samson Siasia has faulted goalkepper team Ikeme for Egypt late equaliser in his team 1-1 draw with Egypt in an AFCON 2017 qualifiers played in Kaduna.
“We have to tell ourselves the truth, this is not how we should concede a goal, first of all our goalkepper shouldn’t have thrown the ball out for fair play in our own half, that was the genesis of the goal” He said in his post match conference.
“To the rest of my team it’s shocking that we stop playing as were expecting them to give us the ball in the spirit of fair play but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t mark, Salah was all alone in our box, that is totally unacceptable”.
He however maintained that they will go to Egypt with the intention of winning and play without fear.
“Football has gone beyond home advantage so when we travel to Egypt we not going there to draw or lose but to do our best and ensure we pick all three points as it is very possible”.
